The Research Technician will have experience in molecular biology research. Experience in rodent and molecular toxicology studies is highly preferred. The Research Technician will perform experiments and data analysis in accordance with established standards and procedures and under the supervision of the Principal Investigators.
Research within the laboratories focuses on studying the gene-environment interactions utilizing both experimental models and human population-based studies.The main responsibility of the incumbent is to maintain accurate records of animal care and use; to handle animals safely for routine procedures; and to isolate nuclei acid from biospecimens and perform molecular biology assays not limited to RT-qPCR, cloning and sequencing. Other responsibilities include laboratory management, project execution and data analysis, preparation of reagent solutions, recordkeeping and maintaining laboratory equipment.
