Job Summary

The University of Michigan has an exciting and enriching opportunity available for a responsible, organized, and motivated individual. Our office is hiring a Research Technician Intermediate to work on a long running stroke research project. This position is located in Corpus Christi, TX.

Responsibilities*Collecting medical record data from Corpus Christi area hospitals Using personal vehicles to travel to sleep appointments Consenting subjects, interviewing stroke patients Taking patient's body measurements, applying a sleep monitoring device to patients, picking up the device the next morning Uploading device data to sleep nosologist Entering data collected from the participant Making phone calls to schedule assessments Participate in weekly research meetings/training and communicate routine correspondence regarding participants/interview status.Other duties as assigned.Candidates will be required to cross-train in other job duties.Required Qualifications*High school or equivalent and/or associate's degree. 1+ years of experience. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others, ability to follow written instructions, and strong oral and written communication skills are required. Desired Qualifications*Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred to serve Spanish-speaking population. Research experience and/or minimum of 2 years college preferred.Work Schedule

The candidate will be expected to work a rotating evening shift, schedule flexibility is required. Weekend, evening, and early morning availability is necessary. Candidates will be required to cross-train in other job duties.

Background Screening
