Job Description
The Study Coordinator will engage in human subject research, focusing on monitoring participants using wearable devices in an exercise setting. The role involves collecting data throughout the study while ensuring participants are properly set up with devices and monitoring equipment.
ResponsibilitiesConduct research with human participants using wearable devices.Follow protocol to consent participants and take vital measurements such as height, weight, and EKG during the session.Ensure participants are properly set up with devices and monitoring equipment.Observe participants during various activities according to protocol.Ensure data monitoring and collection is functioning properly throughout the session.Guide participants throughout the study.Support data collection directly.Essential SkillsExperience in research and data entry.Ability to implement test protocols.Bachelor’s Degree in science, exercise science, kinesiology, or biology.Technical proficiency to operate test devices and perform data entry.Experience in directing participants through studies, with examples of patient care or people interaction.Familiarity with gym equipment and exercise knowledge.Ability to stand for entire shifts.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in human subject research.Data analysis skills.Experience as a personal trainer.Work Environment
The work environment includes morning and afternoon shifts, with flexible hours starting from 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM. Candidates can choose to work either or both shifts and may do double shifts. The role requires standing for long periods, some desk work, and working in a simulated environment. Activities might be conducted outdoors. The dress code is casual yet presentable. Lunches are provided, and training can be accommodated for evening shift workers if necessary. There are four openings for the day shift and five for the evening shift. The study is expected to run through the end of the year, possibly extending into early next year.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
