Job Summary
We are pioneering research on tissue injury and repair in autoimmunity, with a focus on lupus-related kidneys. Kidney injury significantly impacts morbidity and mortality in patients living with lupus, and our goal is to identify novel therapeutic targets. Using cutting-edge technologies, we study lupus patient samples and disease models to uncover new insights and advance potential treatments.Overview
We are seeking a motivated researcher to support experiments investigating innate immune mechanisms driving lupus-associated kidney damage and repair. You will work on innovative in vivo and in vitro studies, validating new cellular and molecular targets within a collaborative team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Skilled in mouse handling, genotyping, and in vivo experiments
- Experienced with flow cytometry and immune profiling
- Proficient in nucleic acid extraction and library preparation
- Must be a problem solver willing to take the initiative and prioritize tasks, thereby ensuring the smooth and efficient conduct of several projects simultaneously.
- Ability to perform a variety of highly specialized cell culture and molecular biology procedures.
- A high degree of computer literacy in order to use various spreadsheet, database, accounting and word processing programs to assist in administrative, grant proposal preparation, and research reporting activities.
- Excellent organizational skills in order to formulate, implement, and monitor a number of interrelated tasks.
- Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in handling of sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to work under deadline pressure and prioritize work from several sources.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for internal and external communications.
