Job Summary
The Sarcoma research team is seeking a Research Project Manager to support a multi-institutional study to explore the genomics, proteomics, and germline features of soft tissue and bone sarcomas in young and older adults, with special focus on military populations. The team will coordinate tumor tissue collection and data analysis across several U.S. sarcoma centers to investigate the molecular drivers of tumor behavior, heterogeneity, and treatment resistance.
Qualifications
Working under the very general direction of the Principal Investigator responsible for all activities of clinical trial, including assistance in identifying and selecting tissue and tumor samples appropriate for study.
Responsible for executing on a daily basis, the procedural, managerial and policy decisions made for the study. Participates in all decisions made for the study and identifies modifications of existing policies and procedures.
Responsible for budget oversight and participates in grant writing and proposals. Has direct management responsibility of study personnel.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the coordination and implementation of research design process and study protocol at one or multiple sites.
2. On a daily basis, executes the procedural, managerial, and policy decisions made for the study.
3. Participates in all decisions made for the study and the formulation of policies and procedures. Identifies modifications needed and works to implement solutions.
4. Responsible for the development and oversight of project budget.
5. Participates in grant writing and proposals.
6. Serves as the primary contact for outside vendors utilized to ensure efficient operation of the study.
7. Responsible for the oversight of all supplies, equipment, and files.
8. Has direct management responsibility for all study personnel, including hiring, firing, discipline, evaluation, orientation and training.
9. Directly responds to inquiries regarding study protocol and policy. Serves as liaison to internal and external population.
10. All other duties as assigned.
