Summary of Job Duties:The Research Program Manager serves as a member of a dynamic, expert, interactive research and finance team that provides efficient, thorough, accurate, compliant and investigator-friendly research project and clinical trial support. This research-based support includes administrative, financial and laboratory space & equipment management as well as project development. He/She will need to be organized and have strong communication skills.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in one of the social or behavioral sciences such as psychology, social work, public health, sociology, anthropology, health science or related field plus 5 years of clinical research experience 

OR High School/GED plus 9 years of experience including medical or lab facility exposure, collection of data, analysis of data Basic science lab skillsProficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Knowledge and understanding of IRB protocols  as well as the ability to adhere to established protocols

​Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, or related field Research project management, budget development, clinical research or hospital administration CRS, GMPA certification Proficient in working with EPIC and Workday programs

Responsibilities

Provide project administrative support by working with the Office of Sponsored Projects Administrative Network (OSPAN). Assist with financial reports, budget management, budget creation for grant applications, Core Lab billing, and clinical trial projects. Review and approve participant charges in EPIC and process study-related transactions.

Support project and technical functions by assisting faculty with data collection, statistical/graphical analysis, and general laboratory tasks. Maintain laboratory inventory, equipment, and web resources; generate reports and updates using PubMed and Profiles.

Serve as liaison with faculty, staff, and institutional offices (including DLAM, IRB, Clinical Trials Office, and others) to ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory guidelines. Coordinate training and distribution of information to support safe and compliant laboratory operations.

Assist faculty and the Department HR Administrator with staff hiring processes, including preparing PCQs, hiring forms, and related documentation.

Support faculty in developing, preparing, and submitting grant and contract proposals, ensuring compliance with university and agency requirements and deadlines.

Collaborate with the Division’s Administrative Analyst on operational support, including procurement of supplies and equipment, travel coordination, inventory, facilities upkeep, and reporting requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned.
