Project Title: Asian Cohort for Alzheimer's Disease (ACAD)
Position Title/Summary: Research Program Manager (RPM)
The RPM will be responsible for ensuring proper implementation of the project work plan. The RPM will facilitate communication among members of the study team, assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in preparing data collection, monthly and annual reports and handing all data obtained in Korean and will participate in the work of manuscripts. The study involves recruiting approximately 800 participants aged 60 years or older with Korean ancestry from northeast areas of the U.S. We will collect DNA and plasma biomarkers and genotypes from all participants using SNP arrays, and use validated, translated data collection forms and clinical/diagnostic protocols.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Coordinating translation of English documents into Korean
· Liaise with stakeholders, collaborators, site coordinators, and recruiters to build trust and ensure that all parties are included.
· To coordinate to schedule the data collection with recruiters, data collectors (both cognitive assessments and neuroglial examinations)
· To develop surveillance registry for potential research participants, schedule and coordinate data collection and monitor participant enrollment and retention.
· Record and track the registry and enrollment lists to maintain high follow-up and retention rates.
· Prepare and distribute regular reports detailing the program’s progresses to funding agencies, study sites, and stakeholders.
o Cleary ad effectively communicate program updates, challenges, and success to all relevant parties.
+ Involve in the process of analyzing data collected through the research program and contribute to the drafting and editing of research manuscripts for publication. .
+ Manuscript Writing: Contribute to the drafting and editing of research manuscripts for publication.
+ Support research administration as needed and perform other related activities as required.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $90,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
