**Responsibilities***
The Department of Pathology at Michigan Medicine has an open Research Investigator position to join our faculty in Ann Arbor, MI. The successful candidate will focus on being able to dissect the intricate cross-talk between immune cells and intestinal epithelial cells to uncover how these interactions drive mucosal wound repair. They will also examine the synthesis of protectin D1 (PD1) and protectin DX (PDX) during healing and determine their direct and immune cell medicated effects. This person will lead projects with the PI of the laboratory. They will also provide experienced hands-on leadership and supervision to more junior lab members.
**Required Qualifications***
+ This position requires a PhD
+ Must be an experienced researcher, with at least 5 years
+ Have hands-on experience with leadership and supervision
+ Have lead projects for the lab
+ Must be an experience Mucosal Biologist
+ Must have presented at International Conferences
+ Must know how to lead and grow a research program that bridges mechanistic discovery with translational impact

**Background Screening**
