Research Intern - Benign Hematology
MD Anderson Cancer Center
The internship is dedicated to conducting basic and translational research on the role of blood cells and the immune system in cancer progression and developing novel anti-cancer therapies. The internship will provide both theoretical instruction and hands-on training to interns, equipping them with the knowledge and technical skills necessary to perform research, analyze and interpret data, design experiments, present findings at scientific meetings, and disseminate results through abstracts and manuscripts.
*LEARNING OBJECTIVES*
1. Develop scientific inquiry skills.
Assist in designing experiments and develop critical thinking skills. Through hands on experience, student will learn to formulate
hypotheses, make observations, collect and analyze data, and draw conclusions.
2. Foster Problem Solving abilities.
Student will analyze problems and engage in problem solving through questioning, scientific concepts, and development of strategies to overcome issues.
3. Enhance practical skills and techniques.
Student will hone skills in laboratory practice and techniques to further their research education. Student will learn to apply theoretical knowledge to hands on setting.
*ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS*
Applicant must hold a bachelor's or master's degree; Degree must have been obtained recently (within one year)
Applicant must have previous research experience;
