Job Summary

The Systems Imaging and Bioinformatics Laboratory (SIBL) in the Department of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics, as well as the Departments of Biostatistics & Biomedical Engineering, University of Michigan is seeking a postdoctoral fellow for bioinformatics problems involving quantum machine learning and multi-omics data integration (e.g.: ATACseq, RNAseq, single cell RNAseq and spatial-omics platforms like CODEX/mIF or 10x Visium). The fellow will work with several research collaborators in the EECS Department, Rogel Cancer Center at the University of Michigan, as well as be responsible for leading collaborations in the longer-term. The project has opportunities for candidates with interests in methodology development as well as applied cancer bioinformatics in a variety of disease sites, including the incorporation of statistical, machine learning & QML ideas.

Multiple collaborative opportunities are available at the University. Our collaborators include clinicians and methodologists at the University, including the Dept. of EECS, Biostatistics, Michigan Institute for Data Science (MIDAS) as well as the Precision Health Initiative. Additional opportunities for collaboration are available with faculty in the Radiation Oncology, Engineering and Statistics departments. Mentoring opportunities (working with undergraduates and graduate students) are also available.
