Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Engineer within Non Destructive Testing.

As a member of the Research Technology Team for Non Destructive Testing (NDT) you will be required to manage technology research projects, develop NDT technology through creative and methodical thinking, and provide NDT practical and technical assistance when required.
The role offers a hybrid working structure Monday to Friday.
How You'll Contribute
Your required contributions are as follows:
Deliver NDT research projects, from project conception through to project closure, making informed technical decisions to ensure the project meets its purpose/objectives.
Actively engage in the creation of innovative ideas that add value to NDT projects. This will be achieved via a combination of 'hands on' work, raising and issuing reports and presentations etc
Perform Routine, inspections, calibrations and develop new inspection techniques where required. This will include the writing of NDT reports and documenting the procedure for new inspection techniques.
Have the ability to read and use specifications/standards to undertake tasks such as technique development, test setup and manufacture of test blocks What You'll Bring
To help us make a difference, you’ll bring your passion and talent for what you do along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:
Essential
Lvl2 in Ultrasonic Testing qualified to EN4179 Experience running and managing technology research projects Experience in inspection of Composite Materials, using both manual and automated Ultrasonic inspection techniques
Desired
Education
A degree or Masters level qualification in an Engineering discipline, preferably in materials science, aerospace or mechanical engineering
