A caregiver in this position works days, from 8:00am—5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Coordinate and conducts study activities including regulatory document management, IRB submissions, and data collection/entry.
Communicate with sponsors, monitors, and research personnel to ensure study compliance.
Assist with study visits, including scheduling of pre-site selection, initiation, monitoring, webinars, and close-out visits.
Collaborate with investigators, sponsors, and staff on protocol development, execution, and evaluation, including subject recruitment.
Report and document Serious Adverse Events, safety logs, FDA/sponsor forms, and project status.
Maintain regulatory binders, monitoring plans, and personnel certification records (e.g., licenses, CVs, CITI training).
Support preparation for and response to audits.
Develop and maintain study-related tools such as tracking spreadsheets and educational materials.
Monitor data quality and protocol adherence; demonstrates understanding of study design and protocol requirements.
Perform clinical tasks (e.g., phlebotomy, vitals, ECG, point-of-care testing) after obtaining required competencies.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum two years clinical research or healthcare experience required
Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of computer-based skills, especially in the use of word processing spreadsheets, database and presentation software, and the ability to undertake internet searches.
Within 90 days of hire, must successfully complete certification in Human Subjects Research as required by the Responsible Conduct of Research guidelines adopted by Cleveland Clinic.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Associate or bachelor's degree in health care or science related field preferred. Degree may offset experience requirement.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
