Position Summary:


We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Coordinator.

The Research Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the Healthcare Equity and Retention in Obstetrics and Gynecology (HERO) Projecta national, multi-method research initiative addressing reproductive healthcare equity and physician workforce well-being. This position is ideal for someone with strong data management skills and research experience who is also highly organized and collaborative.
The HERO project integrates quantitative and qualitative data to investigate how regional healthcare policies, organizational practices, and individual physician experiences influence physician retention, engagement, and patient access to care in OBGYN. The Research Coordinator will contribute to data management and analysis, coordination of research activities, communication with stakeholders, and overall project support.

Job Responsibilities:

Research and Data Analysis (50%)

Manage, clean, and analyze large-scale datasets with information about the physician workforce and patient experience across the countrySupport the integration of data across mixed-methods project aims.Generate tables, figures, and descriptive and inferential statistical summaries.Assist in preparation of grant reports, manuscripts, presentations, and advisory board materials.

Project Coordination (30%)

Schedule and organize virtual team meetings, consortium site visits, and focus group logistics.Maintain project files, IRB documentation, data dictionaries, and study logs.Draft and coordinate email communications to project stakeholders, including co-investigators and site collaborators.Track project milestones and deliverables.

Qualitative Research Support (10%)

Organize and code interview transcripts using qualitative analysis software (e.g., Dedoose, NVivo).Assist with development of interview guides, focus group materials, and data summaries.

General Administrative Support (10%)

Maintain accurate study records and data documentation.Respond to data requests and coordinate tasks across the investigative team and analysts.Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in public health, social science, healthcare, or a related field.
1-2 years of relevant research experience, including experience with data analysis and project coordination.
Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and statistical software (e.g., STATA, R, or SPSS).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with healthcare workforce or health disparities research.
Familiarity with IRB processes and human subjects research.
Comfort working with multiple large datasets and survey-based research.
Interest in reproductive healthcare and clinician well-being.
Experience in large, hierarchical institutions, excellent interpersonal and written/oral communications skills required along with tact and diplomacy.
Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and statistical software (e.g., STATA, R, or SPSS).

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,350.00 - $68,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
