Job Title: Research Associate II

Job Description

The Research Associate II will work in the Flow Cytometry and Immune Monitoring Core, providing full-service support for research studies that involve routine PBMC processing, cryopreservation, T cell ELISPOT analysis, multiplexing, or immunophenotyping. This centralized core laboratory offers immune monitoring services for rAAV development and Phase I Trials, cell-based therapy studies, and other projects upon request. While services adhere to academic research standards, they do not meet criteria for 21 CRF 58 definition of GLP for non-clinical studies, OECD Test Guidelines, or CAP/CLIA accreditation.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate in determining schedule and project timelines/capabilities.Support GMP resources and supply chain, including maintaining materials inventory control to meet production goals.Operate and perform calibration, validation, cleaning, and maintenance of facility equipment and systems as specified in SOPs.Conduct testing using PCR, Flow cytometry, aseptic techniques, uv-vis, pipetting, sorters, ELISPOT, ELISA, dilutions, peptides, cell staining, and more.Perform daily operational activities related to biological products, ensuring availability of materials and proper documentation for GLP activities and product quality.Assist in process documentation review, revision, remediation, and process change controls.Handle specimens of blood, urine, tissue, and fecal matter.Essential SkillsProficiency in biology, cell culture, aseptic technique, PCR, flow cytometry, and pipetting.Strong history in immunology research, tissue culture, GMP, and cGMP.Bachelor's degree in Life Science Field with 2+ years of industry experience or a Master's with strong research experience from schooling.Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the scientific industry outside of school or strong research experience from school.Comfortable using Microsoft Office.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with purification techniques.Experience in tissue culture.GMP experience.Biochemical experience.Work Environment

The work environment is team-oriented, comprising a diverse group of individuals that is continually expanding. The current team consists of 23 members and aims to grow significantly by the end of the year. Collaboration is essential as work and testing are not conducted alone. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional overtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
