**Job Description:** The **Research Associate II** will be primarily responsible for conducting and documenting experiments, completing technical reports, and providing feedback on results, competitor products, and new technologies. This role collaborates with senior R&D personnel to validate product performance, reliability, and shelf life, and contributes to experimental design and procedure improvements. This position will be based in our Pomona, CA location in the near future, and will work from our Orange, CA location in the interim. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** + Under limited supervision, conducts assigned experiments using appropriate equipment, techniques, and protocols. Applies good laboratory practices. + Under the guidance of more senior R&D personnel, carries out experiments that scientifically confirm product performance, reliability, and shelf life. + Contributes to the design of experiments. + Identifies deficiencies and modifies/improves existing procedures. + Records experimental data and observations. Completes calculations according to established procedures. + Maintains accurate records of work. + Prepares standard technical report and summary of results. + Participates and provides feedback in the evaluation of experiment results, ideas, competitor products, and new technologies. + Under general guidance, plans a schedule of research activities according to company’s timetable, and establish daily or weekly routines necessary to meet project timetable. + Develops solutions to problems of moderate complexity. + Applies scientific theory to reach conclusions based on data analysis. + Maintains in-depth knowledge of the company’s new and existing products. **Incidental Duties:** The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed in this job.
