Position Summary The project focuses on the analysis of plastics (including microplastics) in aqueous medium. Job duties include: + Develop and apply analytical techniques such as spectroscopy (FTIR, NMR, etc.), flow cytometry, chromatography (HPLC, GC-MS), and thermal analysis (DSC, TGA, etc.) to analyze microplastics. + Conduct laboratory-based research, including sample preparation, data collection, and analysis. + Interpret complex data and prepare scientific reports, research papers, and presentations for publications and conferences. + Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within the department and with external partners. Required Degree Doctorate -Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Science Minimum Requirements A Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Science, Materials Science, or a closely related field Desired Qualifications Candidates are encouraged to apply if they have expertise in analytical chemistry and polymer fields and experience applying state-of-the-art analytical techniques for field sampling and water environmental monitoring. Extensive experience with analytical techniques, including spectroscopy, chromatography, or other relevant methods.
