Research Associate, Process Analytics
Job Title: Research Associate, Process Analytics Job Description Join a dynamic Process Analytics team as a Research Associate or Senior Research Associate to support the characterization of Lentiviral Vector (LVV). You will be trained by senior staff to perform a variety of molecular, cellular, biophysical, and biochemical protocols, working closely with other functions to test LVV samples. This role is pivotal in advancing pipeline and Analytical Development capabilities. Responsibilities + Assist with experimental design, execution, and analysis to support the development of gene therapy products. + Perform routine impurity and characterization testing, such as ELISA, qPCR, ddPCR, and flow cytometry, to support process development. + Maintain clear records of experimental work using an electronic notebook system in adherence to company guidelines. + Manage sample submissions for assigned methods and provide timely turnaround of data. + Exemplify company core values and adhere to company policies to ensure the safety and quality of gene therapy products and facilities. + Train on initial methods for qualification experiments, and upon proficiency, advance to additional methods. + Conduct daily experiments involving plate design, sample preparation, data analysis, and electronic notebook submission for review. + Maintain inventory of reagents and other lab supplies. Essential Skills + Quality control and GMP knowledge. + Proficiency in laboratory techniques including aseptic techniques, chemistry, and QC. + Experience with ELISA, qPCR, ddPCR, flow cytometry, impurity testing, and characterization testing. + Familiarity with analytical development, process development support, and LIMS/QMS systems. + Understanding of gene therapy and viral transduction. + Experience with cell culture, PBMC, multi-channel flow cytometry, and T cell flow. Additional Skills & Qualifications + A BS in Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline with no previous industry experience or an Associate’s Degree and 2 years of hands-on laboratory experience. + Hands-on experience with techniques such as ddPCR, qPCR, ELISA, and flow cytometry. + Excellent communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships. + Experience with basic data analysis is a plus. + Self-motivated, organized, and clear documentation skills. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $29.42 - $43.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
