**Job Summary**
The University of Michigan, School of Nursing (UMSN) seeks a Research Area Specialist Associate who will work under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI) and other research staff. Your role will be focused on research involving treatment access for patients with addiction and/or opioid use/misuse, along with research evaluatingmultiple community-based overdose prevention harm reduction related projects.
**Responsibilities***
+ Support the clinical coordination of education and research activities with internal and external project partners, including clinical placements for students and study participant recruitment.
+ Provide assistance facilitating qualitative interviews.
+ Enter research data, maintain accurate and detailed records.
+ Assist in the development and coordination of graduate student didactic education and corresponding evaluation research documents.
+ Aid in the development of research data collection tools, including surveys and interview guides.
+ Assist in the development and design of health promotion infographics for external community partners.
+ Participate in community health promotion activities educating stakeholders, community partners, general community members, etc. about overdose prevention methods.
+ Complete background research and literature reviews for succinct presentation through educational materials, or to aid with research study design.

**Required Qualifications***
+ Bachelor'sdegree in health-related field is required; Master's degree preferred.
+ One (1) to two (2) years of demonstrated experience working with community partners that serve people who use drugs.
+ Candidate should have a basic understanding of the scientific research process.
+ Experience with using RedCap as a data collection tool and using R, R-Shiny or another statistical data software for quantitative analyses, preferred.
+ Experience writing qualitative rapid analysis reports, designing qualitative codebooks and/or conducting thematic analysis of interview transcripts.
+ Knowledge of qualitative coding methods (rapid qualitative analysis, thematic analysis, etc.)
+ Experience designing infographics with health promotion data.
+ Candidate must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to receive and convey information clearly and concisely for various mediums.
+ Excellent computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.

**Additional Information**
**Shift/Hours/Days:** 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.,Monday through Friday; may include some occasional weekend and/or evening hours. This position will be a hybrid work schedule.
**Salary Range:** The target salary range for this position is $48,000 - $50,000 per year, due to salary funded on a grant. The actual salary determined will be based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate and may be less than the maximum. We encourage all interested parties apply.
