In order to build excellent products and tell great stories, we must first profoundly understand our audiences - what motivates them, why they think and behave the way they do, and what they think of our brands and products. The Consumer Apps Marketing Research and Insights (CAMRI) team is at the heart of developing this understanding, actively representing users in internal discussions, advocating for their needs, and continuously identifying ways to better serve them. As a Research and Insights Manager at Google, you lead research that influences business and launch strategies. Through a profound understanding of our users, you represent their needs, preferences and concerns in cross-functional stakeholder discussions. Transforming observations into actionable insights, and bringing these points to life via compelling storytelling is key to success in this role. You’ll do this by scoping custom research studies with external agencies and developing insights-backed perspectives via research synthesis efforts on a regular basis. This role is embedded in the AI Marketing team, where you’ll partner with AI Marketers to shape the narrative and strategy for Google’s AI ecosystem for users around the world. You’ll manage the research roadmap for the AI Marketing team, and infuse your deep understanding of user behavior in the changing competitive landscape to provide relevant context and clear recommendations on go-to-market decisions. You’ll be sharing your findings frequently, in forums large and small, with everyone from junior to senior executive staff. Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.
