JOB DESCRIPTION: Research Analyst
FactSet is a leader in providing research and analytical tools to finance professionals. FactSet offers instant access to accurate financial data and analytics around the world. FactSet clients combine hundreds of databases from industry-leading suppliers into a single powerful information system.
The FactSet Events and Transcripts covers earnings calls for companies around the world, with coverage beginning in 2003 for events and transcripts. Coverage for securities is determined by market capitalization, exchange listings, index membership, and most importantly, client demand. Company earnings calls have long been a key source of information for investors. Since the early 2000s, FactSet has been an industry leader in collecting and transcribing company events across the globe. FactSet covers six distinct event types: earnings calls, presentations, special situations, sales calls, analyst/investor meetings, and guidance calls.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage daily performance to achieve productivity and accuracy goals
• Perform independent research via internet, phone, and e-mail, and web feed (articles queue) to collect event data for companies within and outside the DE page queues
• Determine if live dial in numbers and/or webcast links exist for confirmed events
• Augment international event data and call coverage with a major focus on the assigned region (Asia, Europe or America)
• Maintain an organized database of calls and contacts processed for the different queues/region
• Build professional relationships with IR departments to get information sent directly to us (distribution lists, etc.)
• Handle priority requests from the support team with a sense of urgency
• Initiative to carry out related tasks in line with the group's processes as needed
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Team Lead
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Diploma or a graduate of any degree
• Effective communicator through phone and email
• English Language skills: Excellent listening, oral, written and grammar skills
• Should possess good internet research skills
• Excellent attention to details and accuracy
• Familiarity with financial terms and vocabulary is an advantage
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to be able to perform different tasks under pressure
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
• Proven team player that is driven by success and desire to exceed target
• Must be flexible with different shifts (AM/PM/GY Shifts).
