We’re hiring a Research Agronomist
The Research Agronomist must love to work with growers on the farm and in their fields alongside a network of Pannar Field Agronomist and have a common passion for agriculture, adding value and improving customer experience. Individuals must like working independently and in a team, being able to contribute to a high-performing and dynamic Field Agronomist and sales team. Key personal qualities include confidence, competitiveness, a desire to win, driven to succeed, strong communication skills, research and data driven, thinking innovatively and being a team player. Critical decision-making skills are also necessary for this position and a desire to constantly learn and improve to strive towards excellence. A strong work ethic, moral standards with a high level of professionalism, and pride in the quality of work performed will lead to success for this individual. The Research Agronomist would work alongside Field Agronomists and Agronomy Manager as a team to achieve common research goals.
You Will Be Part of Growing Team
The candidate will act as a liaison with the Agronomy Manager and Field Agronomist to grow market share and strengthen relationships with growers. The focused areas are Pannar product positioning, general agronomy and providing grower solutions to add value and increase yield and profitability to help key operations be sustainable.
Your Challenge:
Works as part of a team to plan and execute experiments/trials efficiently and accurately within seasonal deadlines.Ensure all phenotyping activities are executed at assigned trial locations; from cooperator sourcing, mapping, seed preparation, planting, crop maintenance, data collection and harvesting.Attention to detail and proper maintenance as it pertains to research field equipment including tractors, planters, combine harvesters and other data collection tools.Remains current on new data collection technology and traits and implements the use thereof.Continuous reporting and consulting on program and trial status. Yearly reporting on status of targeted metrics.Complete personal development goals as part of a performance management and development plan.Technical product knowledgeStrategic thinking and stakeholder engagementCustomer-focused innovation and operational excellenceKey Stakeholders and Interactions:
Partner with Agronomy Manager, Product Agronomists and Field Agronomists to create and deliver product and digital services information that improves the productivity and profitability of Pannar customers.

Eastern and Western Pannar Maize, Sunflower and Soybean sales regions
To Grow What Matters, You Will Need
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture (Soil science, Agronomy, Plant Pathology)At least 5-7 years of agronomy experience, educating and empowering individuals.Strong background in agronomy and plant cultivation.Extensive knowledge on pesticides and herbicides would be beneficial.Extensive knowledge on crops like maize, sunflower and soybeans is needed.Proven ability to make timely decisions and solve problemsExcellent interpersonal/communication skills are required for fostering teamwork, enhancing a good working environment, and effectively developing strong working relationships with a diverse group of peopleAbility to supervise and prioritize multiple tasks is criticalProficiency in Office software such as spreadsheets, mail, calendar and presentation toolsMust be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.A valid driver’s license is requiredWho Are We Looking For?
