Australia’s Market Development Facility (MDF) helps countries in
the Indo-Pacific region to grow through improved productivity, economic
diversification, competitiveness and trade.MDF helps business partners and government to identify markets
that have high potential to grow, be profitable, and deliver social and
environmental value.
Our aim is to do good by supporting good business. MDF supports business investment and innovation that reduces poverty, economically empowers women and combats climate change. We currently operate in Fiji, Timor-Leste, Samoa, Vanuatu, Tonga and Sri Lanka.
MDF
is funded by the Australian Government and co-funded by the New Zealand
Government in Samoa, Tonga and Vanuatu. It is implemented by Palladium, in
partnership with Swisscontact.
This Opportunity
The Market
Development Facility (MDF) is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to
lead its Research, Impact Measurement, and Inclusion (RIMI) work across four
Pacific countries. Based in Fiji, you’ll manage a team of 4–6 staff and
collaborate with technical teams across the region to drive inclusive,
evidence-based development.
The RIMI Adviser will be responsible for:
Lead Monitoring & Results Measurement (MRM): Oversee research planning, data analysis, and reporting aligned with DCED and DFAT standards.Champion Inclusion: Integrate gender equality, climate resilience, and disability inclusion into MDF’s strategies and measurement frameworks.Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the RIMI team, contribute to MDF’s learning agenda, and support strategic decision-making.Maintain robust results measurement systems aligned with DCED and DFAT standardsProvide strategic insights and recommendations to improve market systems interventionsContribute to MDF’s learning agenda and stakeholder engagementFor full responsibilities and Terms of Reference (TOR), click here.
