The Production Scientist II - Specific Purpose Contract for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for contributing to the operation of the AU/CSCA Formulation schedule and to ensure that product is delivered to the filling lines per our Heijunka requirements.
This position is part of the Production Operations department located in Lismeehan, O'Callaghan's Mills, Co. Clare and will be based onsite. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:
Contribute to the operation of the AU/CSCA Formulation schedule and to ensure that product is delivered to the filling lines per our Heijunka requirements and supervise the daily Quality activities of the Formulation department and liaise with formulation supervisors on quality priorities for the department
Represent the Formulation department for all internal and external Quality related audits and ensure all CCF’s and ECC’s are completed on time for the department,
Implement and be involved in DBS Visual aids to help with tracking projects across the department and lead Kaizen events for departmental improvement,
Delegate effectively to the team to ensure the department goals and bowler targets are achieved
Coordinate & complete 4E Safety Risk assessments for the department and ensure engineering & safety actions are being closed in a timely manner
Calibration and maintenance of Production equipment
Take part in technical investigations and validation if required,
Combine procedures to simplify training requirements through the CCF process and be responsible for all training requirements for the department and run monthly team meeting with the department to report on selected topics
The essential requirements of the role include:
Level 8 Bachelor’s degree in Science or equivalent field and a minimum of two years’ relevant experience in a formulation/manufacturing environment
