This position contributes to Starbucks success by leading a team of replenishment planners in the development of store level inventory replenishment strategies and management of store suggested ordering and allocation functions, systems, processes necessary to meet business objectives and profitability goals. 
Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. 

 

As a mgr., replenishment you will be responsible for… 

Leadership 
Setting goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together:  

Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results Supports the implementation of company programs to ensure the success of the Company. 

Planning and Execution
Developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results:  

Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization Plans and manages business unit and department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives. Develops planning team goals, strategies, and ensures they are completed on time and under budget. 

Business Requirements

Providing functional expertise and executing functional responsibilities: 

Develops and enhances planning processes and procedures. Makes continuous improvements in costs, lead times and inventory strategies. Ensures planning representation on projects supporting successful entry into new markets, products, and ventures. Develops inventory strategies to determine cost effective use of inventory investment. Monitors materials or FG inventory levels. May develop materials requirements plans. Develops, maintains, and analyzes inventory management metrics. Recommends cost saving opportunities. Oversees implementation, optimization, and utilization of automated planning systems. Oversees planning processes. Leads team of planning professionals. Provides coaching and mentorship to partners. 

Partner Development & Team Building 

Providing partners with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities and building effective teams: 

Challenges and inspires team members to achieve business results. Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews. Ensures partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements. Oversees training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions. Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partners, business and customer results 

We’d love to hear from you, if you have the following years of experience in specific field or utilizing designated skills:

Planning an inventory management processes and systems (6 yrs) Working with allocation, distribution and replenishment systems in a retail environment (6 yrs) Inventory planning and forecasting in a manufacturing, consumer goods environment (5 yrs) Management including building cross-functional teams (5 yrs) Progressive experience in planning, forecasting and inventory management (5 yrs)

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above.  For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above. 

  

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.  At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
