Role Summary:
Responsible for performing disassembly, inspection, and cleaning of compressor, pump, and mixer seals. Facilitate the repair process through creation of repair worksheets, service orders, and other repair processes.
This is a first shift position Monday through Friday
Responsabilities:
Safely conduct seal disassembly, inspection and repair of a variety of mechanical seals
Utilize SAP Repair Workbench to perform deliveries and release service orders
Inspect seal components using a variety of measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, CMM, and optical flat to compare against detail drawings and determine disposition
Collaborate with Engineering to perform root-cause-failure-analysis (RCFA)
Perform disassembly of seals in the presence of customers and other FLS associates
Provide assistance to assembly and test teams’ regarding repair related issues
Assist with the upkeep of the Gaspac vendor stocking program (VSP)
Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve on-time delivery and quality
Requirements:
Experience with assembly, disassembly, and/or maintenance of pump and seals
Comfortable working with basic hand tools
Competent computer skills (MS Word/Excel preferred)
Ability to read part detail drawings and understand basic dimensional callouts
