What You'll Do:

An individual contributor with primary responsibility to provide technical machining support for production, engineering, & maintenance, as required.  The technical support will be in the form of building/repairing fixtures, molds, tools, equipment, & other components.  Must be capable of setting up & operating all standard toolroom equipment (e.g. lathes, mills, grinders, etc.).

 

What We're Looking For:

Activity Description

50%   Build, disassemble, and assemble components for fixtures, assembly tools, machines, and prototype components.
Repair fixtures, tooling, and other production type components

 

25%   Self-motivated & self-directed individual w/ minimal supervision required to proactively support production, engineering, & maintenance needs. 

 

10%   Maintain inventory of critical production components (e.g. cores, wires, punches, etc.) and machinist components/materials.  
  5%     Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements.
  5%     Communicate effectively, document machining processes and report any issues or discrepancies to other team members.
  5%     Expected to adhere to all safety protocols, including cardinal rules, and guidelines.

 

Skills That Make a Difference:

Technical machining abilities Understand fixtures and molds Interpret technical drawings and specifications Ability to set up setting up and operating all standard tool room equipment: Lathes, mills, surface grinders, …etc. Build and repair fixtures, molds, production tooling, and equipment Demonstrate problem solvings skills Work closely and communicate with production, engineering, and maintenance Ability to priorities and maximize the toolroom efficiency Adhere to all safety protocols, cardinal rules, and guidelines 

 

Considered a Plus: 

Successful completion of four-years of High School, or equivalent, plus completion of two years of college or graduation from two-year technical college with an associate degree preferably with a focus on machining apprenticeship. Five plus years of relevant experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities. Previous machining toolromm experience
