Overview

As a Renovations Technician at Mirabella Seattle, you’ll provide renovation and maintenance services for our 200+ resident apartments. Our residents and employees live and work alongside one another on a daily basis – what better way to grow relationships, build connections and ultimately feel like you’re making an impact on someone’s life every day. We’re a 365/24/7 business – so we’re looking for someone with availability to independently work on ongoing projects and handle resident requests.

Although some knowledge and experience in commercial construction and/or renovations is preferred, we provide the training you’ll need!

 

How You'll Do it: 

Turning units - Experience in painting, light electrical and plumbing maintenance, drywall repair, finishing and texturing, caulking, carpet and LVP installation. Tile experience preffered but not required.Assist in estimating and ordering adequate supplies, materials, and equipment to perform each task/project as needed.  The majority of your work is active. A moderate to high amount of walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and handling will be required. Moderate to heavy physical labor requiring frequent lifting of 35 to 50 pounds may be necessary. You will have frequent communication with coworkers and/or residents and must be able to accurately and timely exchange information in these situations.

About You:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in general and specialized building and construction including but not limited to general and specific methods of building construction and repair of HVAC/mechanical, electrical, plumbing, locksmithing, utility systems or a related field.
Knowledge of the chemicals and processes used by the renovations department, MSDS, PPE, universal precautions, general safety practices used in the construction and building trades.
Knowledge of regulatory safety rules and procedures.
Knowledge in the operation, repair, and maintenance of shop equipment and tools and telephone, TV, and computer systems.
Knowledge of fire prevention, fire suppression, and fire alarm systems.
Ability to read and understand specifications, plans and drawings and to communicate with local city official and departments. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to fill out forms, keep accurate records, and submit reports.
