Frostbite
Frostbite is EA's state-of-the-art multi-platform game development engine. Our global team empowers game creators to shape the future of gaming by developing creative engine features and outstanding tools. You will be part of an experienced and passionate team that owns the image quality for the engine: lighting, shadows, global illumination, materials, post-processing, display mapping, etc.
Responsibilities
As a rendering engineer on the Image Quality team, you will:
Develop and maintain our high-level, predominantly visual rendering features in FrostbiteCollaborate with game team engineers, as well as with the Image Quality and wider Frostbite rendering teams to deliver new rendering featuresSupport our game team engineers and artists in adopting, using, and debugging rendering features in FrostbiteQualifications
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Math or related fieldGood communication skills, particularly when collaborating with artists.Strong C++ knowledge with at least 4 years of professional programming experience in real-time renderingExperience working in rendering on current or last-generation consoles (PS4, XB1, Switch, PS5, XBSX, PC)Experience in one or more modern graphics APIs (DX12, Vulkan, console, etc)Good knowledge of modern cpu/gpu hardware architecturesExperience with Graphics Debugging Tools (PIX, Renderdoc, console tools, etc)Experience with memory management and multi-threading, with related debugging and optimization experienceBonus Qualifications
