**Remote Transportation Specialist, West Region** **Join NPPC's dynamic supply chain team as a Remote Transportation Specialist!** This role focuses on ensuring the timely delivery of our products across the West region, offering the flexibility of remote work. **About the Role** As a Remote Transportation Specialist, you'll manage the efficient and on-time delivery of NPPC products. This includes **scheduling and tracking loads** , proactively managing delays, and ensuring accurate documentation. You'll collaborate with various teams, including carriers, distribution centers, and production plants. While remote, **candidates must reside near St. Louis, MO, Denver, CO, Crete, NE, Davenport, IA, Clinton, IA, or Flagstaff, AZ for initial training.** You will primarily support the West region. **Key Responsibilities** + **Load Management:** Timely follow-up on loads and accurate reason code application for delays. + **Daily Tracking:** Proactive load tracking in FourKites; follow-ups with carriers and system updates. + **Freight Coverage:** Exceed on-time pick-up/delivery expectations and prevent service failures. + **Carrier & Customer Relationships:** Maintain professional communications, approve accessorials, and manage difficult situations effectively. + **Financial & Operational Oversight:** Manage detention costs, achieve benchmark rates, and support automation objectives. + **Transportation Planning:** Oversee planning, data maintenance, load scheduling, and exception management. + **Carrier Management:** Contribute to overall carrier management and final load confirmation **Qualifications** + **Education:** High School Diploma or GED required; college education preferred. + **Experience:** 2+ years in customer service within a manufacturing or transportation environment. + **Skills:** Strong multi-tasking, proficiency in web-based systems (SAP, Microsoft Excel), excellent communication (verbal/written), analytical, decision-making, interpersonal skills, adaptability, and teamwork. **Work Schedule & Compensation** + **Shift:** 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST + **Pay Rate:** $29.86 per hour **Pay Details:** $29.86 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
