Description: Ideally this person will live in a 3 hour radius of Cincinnati, OH or Louisville/Lexington, KY areas. This person must be willing to travel to these areas occasionally.
As the Sr Project Accountant, you are responsible for accurate and timely entry and reporting of data in the company financial systems. You will be responsible for: accounts receivable, subcontract management, payroll, equipment entry, accounts payable, month end and key financial reporting/analysis. You will partner with management and project teams, through effective communication, to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of data, while also helping them to leverage that data to enhance business performance. Essential Responsibilities:
•\tAnalyze project costs and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
•\tImplement and maintain cost control systems to ensure projects stay within budget.
•\tComprehend and communicate key commercial terms of project contracts to all relevant parties.
•\tEffectively report project financials and interpretations to leadership for decision-making.
•\tContribute to the development and implementation of collective agreements affecting project costs.
•\tCollect and submit necessary documentation (e.g., statutory declarations, WCB clearance letters) for invoicing.
•\tPrepare and submit Letters of Engagement/Monthly Invoices (LEMs) to clients in accordance with the terms.
•\tGather third-party invoices to support accurate and timely client billing.
•\tPrepare and submit monthly equipment rental billings, progress invoices, and manage holdback releases.
•\tProcess and reconcile electronic billing submissions, ensuring alignment with client billing systems.
Qualifications:
•\tThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
•\tMust have a post-secondary business degree.
•\tMust have Experience within commercial construction, Telecom or a related industry is preferred.
•\tMust have knowledge of JD Edwards or similar large ERP is preferred.
•\tWorking knowledge of construction methods.
•\tFinancial acumen regarding equipment utilization, rates, equipment capital decisions, and profitability analysis.
•\tWorking knowledge of construction accounting principles.
•\tWorking knowledge of construction software systems.
•\tStrong analytical skills and problem solving.
•\tExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
•\tStrong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
