Remote Pharmacist
Job Title: Pharmacist 1

Job Description

The primary role of a Pharmacist is to conduct final PA reviews, ensuring compliance with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration. This involves monitoring nursing unit inspections, maintaining records for controlled substances, removing outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory, supervising the work results of support personnel, and maintaining current registration. Pharmacists also study existing and new legislation, anticipate legislative changes, and advise management on necessary actions.

ResponsibilitiesConduct final PA reviews.Ensure compliance with state and federal drug laws.Monitor nursing unit inspections.Maintain records for controlled substances.Remove outdated and damaged drugs from the inventory.Supervise the work results of support personnel.Maintain current registration with the state board.Study existing and new legislation.Advise management on needed actions.Essential SkillsDoctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy degree.Current pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.Experience with Prior Authorization and MTM.Proficiency in pharmacy data entry.Additional Skills & QualificationsPharmacist License in state of residence Work Environment

The position is 100% remote, requiring a dedicated workspace at home. Working hours are Monday through Friday with rotating weekends

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
