Our streaming client is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Acceleration Services Program, comprised of tiger teams. This specific tiger team supports the Commerce Engineering group, providing SRE expertise to help them deliver quickly on important initiatives they dont have bandwidth to complete. These tiger teams are leading the improvements, optimization, and availability of applications across the organization and business units, taking an enablement approach to Reliability Engineering by supporting and delivering automation to foster performance and resiliency in best practice.
As a Site Reliability Engineer on this team, this individual will be supporting Payment Services and Processing for the Commerce group. The will be responsible for the planning and implementation based on functional and performance capability requirements. The team is focused on delivering a number of SLOs (focused on customer user journey), AWS Canary Deployments, and introducing mesh services to the entire Commerce product suite. The team leverages cloud-native, commercial, and open-source tools and frameworks to solve complex business needs. These solutions touch a wide range of functional areas. This person will collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Owners, and others across teams and business areas to influence solutions and platforms across the organization.
Responsibilities include:
Build solutions for problems of sizable scope and complexity that have been successfully deployed to customers.
Champions Infrastructure as Code (IaC); builds and enhances Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Familiar with canary and blue/green deployment strategies
Writes code that establishes and enhances frameworks
Reviews code for the design, testability, and clear usability
Builds solutions that scale
Oversees technical maintenance. Performs troubleshooting for systems that tend to be large and highly complex.
Applies experience to resolve a variety of complex issues
Identifies problems and opportunities and recommends the development of solutions

Skills and Requirements
5+ years of professional Site Reliability Engineering experience; well-versed with modern infrastructure services, containerization, distributed systems and microservices.
Champions Infrastructure as Code (IaC); builds and enhances Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Skilled in Python, Terraform, Kubernetes, Datadog (or other observability tool)
Strong experience with AWS Cloud Infrastructure and Services (EC2, Lambdas, etc.)
Familiar with canary and blue/green deployment strategies
Experience running, monitoring and reporting on large scale distributed systems
Ability to understand the business domain from both a technical and product viewpoint
Experience working within an Agile environment
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent training or work experience Background in cloud automation/infrastructure
