Job Description
This position offers an exciting opportunity to design and develop automated systems for manufacturing testing of new product development. Initially a three-month project, the role has the potential to lead to full-time consultant-based project work.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop automated systems for manufacturing testing of new product development.Utilize LabVIEW programming in system and fixture development.Select and implement appropriate sensors/transducers to measure elements such as force, torque, current, and velocity.Participate in LabVIEW code reviews to ensure quality and efficiency.Review and thoroughly understand product functions and design specifications.Provide project updates to engineering leadership on status, risks, and priorities.Utilize programming languages such as LabVIEW, C++, C#, and PLCs.Collaborate on test development, automation, data-acquisition, and fixture development.Work with communication protocols including IO-Link, Discrete IO, EtherCAT, EthernetIP, OPCUA, TCP/IP, RS-232, RS-485, and CAN.Employ test and measurement techniques, including sensor technology, signal conditioning, and data acquisition.Essential SkillsLabVIEW programming experience, with a focus on creating programs from scratch that communicate with devices, databases, and equipment.5+ years of recent experience in developing LabVIEW programs that interface with multiple instruments and databases.Strong understanding of electrical test engineering and schematic design.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in C++, C#, and PLC programming languages.Experience with communication protocols such as EtherCAT and EthernetIP.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $80.00/hr.
