REMOTE- Junior Data Engineer
Job Description One of the largest logistics and transportation employers in the US is seeking a Jr. Data Engineer to join their expanding team. The Jr. Data Engineer will play a crucial role in understanding business problems and assisting in designing solutions that transform complex ideas into sustainable processes. This individual will focus on supporting the onboarding of new lines of business into the data analytics team. Their responsibilities will include assisting in the full life cycle of data engineering, from gathering requirements from internal customers to building data pipelines, testing, reporting, and maintaining solutions. Additionally, the Jr. Data Engineer will support escalation tasks, contribute to system development, help automate processes, maintain internal systems, and assist in data modeling. They will use their growing expertise in data structures specific to the company's operating systems to help turn data into valuable business insights. Skills and Requirements 2-5+ years' experience of data engineer experience  Strong ADF experience (creating pipelines from scratch/ knowledge of connectors and activities following architect plan)  Strong knowledge of SQL (Mostly working with SQL scripting implementing into ADF)  Understanding of full life cycle data engineering  Extremely detail oriented and ability to provide effective updates  Strong communication for working with internal/ external customers  Strong critical thinking skills Python or Spark experience (Small environment is in Python- basic level scripting and reviews)  DevOps Experience  Data Bricks Experience  Background in Logistics  Agile Methodologies  Experience with cloud (Azure specifically) null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
