Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an IP Network Engineer to support our telecommunications client. This individual will support the Operations team by maintaining and troubleshooting core IP network infrastructure. This role is centered on break/fix resolution, scheduled maintenance, and ensuring network reliability through hands-on support of routers, switches, firewalls, and transport systems. The engineer will respond to network alerts, perform hardware and software upgrades, and assist with escalations from NOC and field teams.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, supporting remote site connectivity, and participating in on-call rotations. The engineer will also collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to implement fixes and optimize performance, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to operational improvements.

Skills and Requirements
• 4+ years of experience with the configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco, Nokia, and Juniper routers or switches
• Experience in service provider, telecommunications, or data center environments, with an understanding of large-scale network operations.
• Strong understanding of core network engineering fundamentals, including IS-IS routing protocol, packet capture analysis, route tracing, and MPLS. • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Technologies, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or related field
• Experience with Metasolv, Microsoft Visio,
• Experience with common transport technologies such as Ethernet, SONET, TDM, Fiber, Microwave, Satellite, WiFi, cellular, etc
Certifications in:
• Cisco CCNA / CCNP
• Nokia NRS I / NRS II
• Brocade BCNE / BCNP
• Juniper JNCIA / JNCIS null
