REMOTE GIS Analyst
Job Description Map Production & Design • Create investment memo maps and custom maps to support internal stakeholders. • Learn and apply existing map production workflows while ensuring consistency and quality. • Manage ad-hoc mapping requests and prioritize deliverables accordingly. • Incorporate geospatial datasets and demographic/economic insights into mapping projects. Workflow Improvement & Automation • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate GIS workflows in ArcGIS Pro. • Develop scripts or tools (Python, ModelBuilder, Arcade, etc.) to improve efficiency. • Suggest and implement process improvements for scalability and speed. • Geocode and update internal datasets. Analysis & Collaboration • Manage a queue system for internal map request, geocoding and escalate tasks appropriately • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into cartographic solutions. This role is paying $20-24/hr and will be 20 to 40 hours a week. Skills and Requirements • Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro with strong map design and cartographic skills. • 2+ years of professional GIS experience (or equivalent academic/internship experience). • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail. • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. • Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and propose creative solutions. • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a focus on building strong relationships and acting as the customer-facing representative of the team. • Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a related field (or applicable work experience). • Experience with Esri Business Analyst or similar demographic/economic datasets. • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite for map and presentation enhancement. • Experience with Python (arcpy), ModelBuilder, or other automation tools. null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
