The Role
This is a full teaching role that includes planning, delivering, and marking lessons across KS3 and KS4 Religious Studies. You’ll deliver a varied and engaging curriculum that explores a range of worldviews, ethical debates, and philosophical thought. The ideal candidate will bring confidence to lead class discussion, support student progress, and uphold high standards of behaviour and engagement.

Delivering the full Religious Studies curriculumPlanning and resourcing high-quality lessonsMarking and assessing students’ work in line with school policyCreating an inclusive and respectful learning environmentContributing to departmental planning and wider school life
The Candidate
You’ll be a reflective and enthusiastic RS specialist, ideally with experience teaching across KS3 and KS4. QTS is essential, and the school is open to both experienced teachers and confident ECTs. You should be able to challenge students intellectually while creating a respectful classroom culture that welcomes diverse perspectives.
We’re looking for someone who:
Holds QTS (or equivalent)Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for Religious EducationCan plan and deliver high-quality lessons independentlyBuilds positive relationships with students and staffIs confident with behaviour management and differentiated instruction
