The Engineer, Test Manufacturing accepts, transfers, installs, improves and maintains automatic test equipment and test programs that are used for product testing and design verification. They also may support the test development of the test equipment and processes to ensure robust and high quality test solutions and final products are realized.
Detailed DescriptionPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
Perform reliability testing. Write test reports and provide analysis of the test data,
prepare documentation and recommendations.
Familiar with test equipment such as HALT and Environmental chambers, Power
supplies, DMMs, Data loggers, ThermocouplesIR cameras, Oscilloscopes etc.
Lead meetings with customers to update the Reliability activities status
Work with the cross-functional team to ensure the products can meet the design specification and reliability goals.
Conduct failure analysis (FA). Ensure that the Reliability issues have been resolved in the prompt and timely manner.
Direct and coordinate engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, Installation, maintenance and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices required to test, record, and reduce test data.
May provide training in new procedures to testing staff or technicians.
Perform moderately complex assignments of the engineering test function
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
Ability to read schematics.
Knowledge of product and component failure modes and mechanisms.
Effective communication skills and can do attitude.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Typical Experience Minimum 5 years working experience in hands-on testing of electronic products (Communication, Enterprise products, etc.) Typical Education BS in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or related field.
