Reliability Process EngineerPosition Overview
Shaw Industries' Plant WM is looking for a Reliability Engineer to join our Fiber Extrusion team in Dalton, Georgia. In this role, the Reliability Engineer will drive changes for overall equipment effectiveness and reliability, use data analysis to determine opportunities for improvement, and oversee changes to procedures and equipment to eliminate waste and downtime. They will also help to oversee maintenance activities in the facility as well as manage regular and capital projects in pursuit of meeting the plant's performance objectives.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for engineering continuous improvement efforts that improve the efficiency, capacity, productivity, and capabilities of the equipment and Plant.
Provide engineering perspective and expertise to manage projects/activities of inner plant and contract personnel, including capital projects.
Support infrastructure and key utility processes, as well as the technical support of operational issues within the facility.
Analyze and recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of a product.
Serve as an engineering resource for plant manufacturing and safety leadership.
Aid in the enforcement of company policies, especially as it pertains to maintenance safety regulations, procedures, and best practices.
Provide guidance and support to all Department Managers and Supervisors as it pertains to equipment needs and project management.
Responsible for ensuring available resources are allocated, coordinated and deployed to accomplish processes successfully.
Responsible for leading plant energy saving efforts
Support supply room functions, including building up our critical spare parts inventory
Fill in for Plant Engineer as necessary

Qualifications:
Four-year degree in Engineering required; Mechanical, Electrical, or similar Engineering degree preferred
Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
Previous manufacturing experience preferred
1-3+ years of leadership experience preferred
Experience with preventative machinery maintenance program preferred
Six Sigma certification preferred
CMMS experience is preferred
