Reliability Engineer (m/f)
Bayer HealthCare Manufacturing is looking for a bright candidate as Reliability Engineer.
As part of the Maintenance Operations & Excellence Team within the Engineering, Maintenance and Excellence (EMEX) cluster at the pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Garbagnate, he/she will support technical standardization at the site, act as the key user of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), keep Asset Criticality Analyses up-to-date and be responsible for conducting data-driven reliability analyses on equipment to support the EMEX Team and drive performance improvement through analytical approaches.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates with the EMEX Cluster to define and implement standardized technical procedures, processes, tools, and KPIs across the Manufacturing area (e.g. maintenance requests, work order tracking, spare parts, shift planning), ensuring full compliance and "inspection readiness" from all perspectives (technical, efficiency, safety, GMP, regulatory, environmental). Identifies opportunities to extend these standards to other site clusters (e.g. Quality, Warehouse)Acts as a key user for the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), supporting the SAP FAM (Facility and Asset Management) and TMM (Technical Materials Management) user community on tools, transactions, and procedures (e.g. asset management and AKZ coding, preventive/corrective maintenance, WOMA app, CaliApp, scheduling, spare parts)Maintains alignment with the global EMEX cluster on initiatives related to maintenance and asset reliability strategy, and ensures personal compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, and Energy responsibilitiesSupports the deployment of Progressive Maintenance (PM) methodology as part of the Product Supply System (PSS), aiming for zero losses and cost optimizationAnalyzes maintenance and performance data to support other departments (e.g. Maintenancae Supervisors, Planners, Calibration, Utilities, Engineering) in achieving supply targets and maximizing equipment capacity, in collaboration with Manufacturing and Supply ChainSupports scheduling and cross-functional planning to minimize planned downtime and costs, balancing asset performance and technical resource availability (equipment, workforce, contractors). Promotes calculated risk-taking, challenges technical requirements, and engages stakeholders in identifying and realizing future opportunitiesManages and regularly updates the Asset Criticality Analysis, incorporating equipment status, maintenance data, and feedback from System and Process Owners to support asset reliability, replacement strategies, and investment decisionsProvides enriched technical data, with OT support, to deliver data-driven insights and contribute to the “100% Ownership” culture alongside Process Owners, Engineers, and Maintenance TeamsSupports problem-solving during equipment breakdowns or process instabilities, leveraging data mining, simulations, and technical analysis to reduce Unplanned Downtime KPI toward zero.Collaborates with EMEX and Manufacturing clusters to define targets and monitor technical KPIs (e.g. OEE, Unplanned Downtimes, Maintenance Schedule Adherence), ensuring data availability, performing analysis, and identifying improvement areasIdentifies opportunities with the EMEX Team to enhance reliability and reduce cost of ownership, including the introduction of condition-based maintenance and monitoring solutions, in collaboration with technical stakeholders
WHO YOU ARE:
Degree in Engineering or in Scientific subject2+ years of previous experience in the maintenance and/or production businessStrong knowledge of SAP FAM (Facility and Asset Management) is requiredWorking experience with the technical aspects of manufacturing and packaging technologies and equipment, including mechanics, electrical automation, pneumatics, etc.Experience in the pharmaceutical, chemical, food & beverage, or cosmetics industry is preferredStrong attitude to teamwork and to lead teams to shared decisions and intrinsic motivation to continuously improveExperience in implementing and applying lean management methodologies and maintenance continuous improvement programExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, proactive and strong problem-solving approachDigital and creative mindsetResidence or domicile in LombardiaItalian mother tongue and good knowledge of English (both spoken and written)
