Job Description
Join a dynamic and proactive team dedicated to maintaining and optimizing equipment efficiency. As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing preventative maintenance programs, working closely with mechanics and supervisors to understand and address root causes of equipment issues. Your contributions will support the manufacturing process of cement, ensuring the seamless operation of equipment such as bucket conveyors, vertical mills, and kilns.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate and participate in operations and maintenance jobs.Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activity programs.Provide technical support to the Maintenance and Operations Department in continuous improvement activities.Work closely with the plant Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Department to develop and maintain preventative and predictive maintenance plans.Suggest specific activities for inspection, lubrication, cleaning, and changing of parts based on recommendations from manufacturers and suppliers.Promote ongoing improvement in equipment and administrative procedures.Analyze equipment maintenance history and investigate repetitive failures.Evaluate the effectiveness of preventive and predictive maintenance and operating procedures.Essential SkillsExperience with preventive maintenance and root cause analysis.Mechanical engineering background.Strong communication skills, especially with blue-collar workers and union members.Demonstrated experience in reliability and mechanical roles.Knowledge of inspection routes, oil analysis, vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasound.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering required; Mechanical Engineering preferred.Around 6 months to 1 year of experience in a manufacturing facility.Proven ability to apply root cause failure analysis (RCFAs).Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.Experience with Microsoft Office Products and Oracle preferred.Ability to work overtime, on-call, and off-shifts as required.Work Environment
This role requires a 50/50 split between office work and fieldwork. The work environment can be hot, dusty, and noisy, with potential hazards. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. Physical dexterity and strength are needed to lift heavy objects and navigate through confined spaces.
