Reliability Engineer
As the Reliability Engineer you will be responsible for Arcwood's reliability and risk aversion across the enterprise by developing reliability plans and proactive\/preventative maintenance strategies, conducting robust root cause investigations, analyzing data and creating capital plans for Arcwood locations. \n
This role reports to the Director, Corporate Engineering within the Operational and Engineering Center of Excellence. \n
Essential Functions & Requirements: \n\nPrioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times\nActively reviews practices, workflows and systems to identify opportunities and advises on appropriate interventions for process improvements that impact production and business results\nFacilitates change management by engaging with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of proactive reliability improvements; provides training and support to employees at all levels to encourage the adoption of new processes and tools \nDrives knowledge exchange with technology experts (plant resources, engineering solutions, internal\/external consultant groups, sister plants, etc.) to increase awareness of potential improvement opportunities \nEncourages innovative thinking and explores new technologies or methodologies that could further enhance reliability within the company \nAnalyzes equipment failure data to identify patterns and trends\nConducts root cause analysis to determine the underlying cause of problems\nMaintains responsibility for maintenance programs for data extraction and trends to create overall strategic improvements\nDesigns, develops and implements new maintenance procedures including monitoring and testing equipment\nIdentifies new technologies and processes that can improve equipment performance and reliability\nMonitors the effectiveness of implemented initiatives and makes necessary adjustments\nCreates and presents reports on initiatives and their impact to leadership \nAnalyzes business processes and equipment end-to-end to identify improvements and recommend solutions \nMaintains the ability to travel to Arcwood facilities as needed\nTakes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization\n\n
Education:\n\nBachelor's degree in engineering (required)\n\n
Experience: \n\n10+ years of proven experience in reliability engineering (required)\n7+ years of project management experience (required) \nPrevious experience in industrial maintenance (required) \n\n
Competencies:\n\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills\nStrong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders\nAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, drive change and influence others \nResults-orientation with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret information from a variety of sources\nAbility to see the big picture, while translating details into an organizational perspective\nAbility to develop and track KPIs for risk aversion, proactive maintenance and reliability initiatives\nAnalytical thinking, with the ability to think critically and logically, as well as the ability to work with large sets of data and concisely make sense of them\nTechnical aptitude and a strong understanding of the systems, equipment, and processes at hand, including knowledge of the engineering principles and specific systems used across the organization \nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions to complex problems\nAbility to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner to collaborate effectively with others\nStrong ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively, including planning, scheduling, and organizing\nStrong attention to detail and precision when analyzing data, implementing improvements and documenting results \nProficiency in tools such as MPulse, PowerBI, Visio, Microsoft Office Suite applications, data analysis software (e.g. Minitab, Excel), ERP systems, and knowledge of statistical process control (SPC)\nRegular and predictable attendance to perform the essential functions and requirements of this role\n\n
