Reliability Engineer
Job Title: Reliability Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to conduct thorough reliability modeling and analyses for systems and components. This role involves supporting the design of solutions that meet reliability and availability requirements throughout the product lifecycle. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with all levels of program and engineering staff, providing adaptable support and innovative approaches to complex engineering challenges.

ResponsibilitiesConduct reliability modeling and analyses for systems and components, including Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA), Worst Case Timing Analysis (WCTA), Electrical Parts Stress Analysis (PSA), and Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).Develop reliability predictions and Limited Life Analysis (LLA) to ensure compliance with numerical reliability and mission life requirements.Create reliability analyses and reports for program deliverables, and provide Fault Detection, Isolation, and Recovery (FDIR) engineering support.Participate in parts selection process, Material Review Board, and Failure Review Board activities.Lead Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action (FRACA) efforts and update reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis based on field data.Support systems through the entire lifecycle of the product, including concept, product development, integration and test, and post-market support.Collaborate on design, integration, and test matters, and support other teams and disciplines as needed.Support program design and readiness reviews, operation of engineering systems, and document any problems.Contribute to internal development and new business opportunities.Troubleshoot conflicting design/development reliability requirements and provide documentation and perform technical presentations.Interface with customers during program shaping, ConOps development, and reliability analysis activities.Provide direction to design or technical staff and may lead a team of experienced professional staff.Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations.Essential SkillsExtensive technical expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice.Ability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet deadlines or milestones.Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective interface with other departments and professionals.Capability to represent the organization as a prime technical contact and provide leadership and guidance.Ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately in an evolving environment.Customer-focused approach to formulating plans based on innovative new designs to resolve advanced technical engineering problems.Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, and work extended hours as required.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in high power systems, electrical systems, and electro-magnetic systems.Experience in aerospace defense.Work Environment

This role involves working with high power and electrical systems, requiring an understanding of electro-magnetic systems. The work environment is dynamic and may require extended hours. Collaboration and communication with various levels of engineering staff are essential, and the position demands maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr.
