**Opportunity**
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, this position will be responsible to maintain plant equipment in good working order, through the implementation of Maintenance Methodology and culture. This position will also be responsible for analyzing maintenance processes, procedures, and spare part definitions with the area leaders, to provide optimized solutions. Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems. The reliability engineering function ensures that equipment is operating as close to design parameters as possible
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish maintenance strategies for every process, asset or component - starting with the most critical.
Consults at a technical level with maintenance craft workers concerning equipment or work-related problems. Such as: advanced troubleshooting, equipment/process redesigns, and equipment overhauls.
Conducts periodic reviews to determine whether the work should be performed by operators, maintenance crafts workers, or outside contractors. In addition, reviews the work is essential and what work can be eliminated, and what new work needs to be identified and added to the maintenance plan.
Helps implement the TPM maintenance methodology and culture according to a well defined action plan with timelines.
Reviews deficiencies noted during corrective maintenance.With the maintenance team periodically review equipment maintenance records.Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations.
Responsible for ensuring that the appropriate monitoring techniques (preventive, predictive, autonomous etc.. ) are used for determining equipment conditions. This information is shared with planners and supervisors to improve the effectiveness of maintenance scheduling.
Support KOS efforts to improve plant efficiency.
Ensures an efficient operation of the maintenance storeroom by promoting inventory accuracy, availability of parts when needed and the proper level of safety stock and replenishment amounts. Defines A, B C criticality of spare parts
Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position.
**Skills/Requirements**
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Preference Bachelor’s degree with a technical major.
Experience:
Preference technical major and a minimum of 5 years of supervisory or equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in Maintenance methodologies and reliability centered maintenance. Experience establishing MRO systems
