Reliability Engineer – Static & Rotating Equipment
Job Requirements

Background:

Looking for a Reliability Engineer responsible for enhancing the reliability and performance of static and rotating equipment through data-driven analysis, proactive maintenance strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves root cause analysis, failure prevention, condition monitoring support, and collaboration with maintenance and operations teams to optimize equipment lifecycle and plant uptime.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

Implement equipment reliability strategies for static and rotating assets (e.g., pumps, compressors, turbines, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping).Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).Monitor equipment health through condition monitoring techniques (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasonic testing).Lead reliability improvement initiatives and support predictive/preventive maintenance programs.Analyze equipment history and maintenance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.Collaborate with maintenance, inspection, and engineering teams to develop long-term reliability plans.Support risk-based inspection (RBI) and asset integrity programs for static equipment.Provide technical input for equipment upgrades, replacements, and procurement.Develop KPIs and dashboards for reliability metrics (MTBF, MTTR, asset availability).Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO, OEM guidelines).

Work Experience

Required Qualifications & Competencies:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.5+ years of experience in reliability or maintenance engineering with both static and rotating equipment.Strong knowledge of reliability principles, asset integrity, and condition-based maintenance.Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo).Experience with vibration analysis, thermography, and other predictive maintenance tools.Certifications in reliability (e.g., CMRP), API (510/570/653), or vibration analysis are a plus.Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
