Release Train Product Manager

If you are someone looking to make a major impact, providing software developed by a premier software development organization, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  As the Release Train Product Manager for Life Sciences, you will be part of a team of product managers responsible for the backlog of our Agile Release Train, made of 10 to 12 SCRUM Teams. This role is located in our Round Rock, TX office and will directly lead some of the Product Owners of the SCRUM teams. 

You will also participate in decisions that influence our software development execution strategy, as well as our DeltaV MES product design. Our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) helps life science companies get life-changing medications into the hands of patients faster and safer than ever before.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: 

Collaborate with Marketing, Technology, and other departments to understand and deliver on business priorities Establish and maintain roadmaps that outline the release train’s development priorities in the short and medium-term timeframes Assess and communicate how the release train will respond to new requests from the organization, including the impact to current projects Collaborate with the release train to identify and prioritize the features necessary to deliver the desired business outcomes Manage the product owners responsible for ensuring the development teams deliver the desired business outcomes and meet the needs of our customers Provide feedback to the agile teams on whether the features, as developed, will deliver the expected benefits to the business and our customers

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Engineering or Computer Science Minimum 8 years of related experience Minimum 6 years of experience in manufacturing execution or process control in the Life Sciences industry Minimum 2 years of leadership experience Demonstrated success in delivering customer-centric products for regulated industries Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:  

Experience with software product development for cloud platforms and enterprise architectures Experience with ISO certified processes, audits and secure lifecycle development with global teams Experience with supervising a team in a manner that empowers the team while at the same time holds them accountable for results Experience with Agile product development practices
