Description We are looking for a dedicated ROI Specialist to join our client's team. In this short-term contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of administrative functions within our healthcare organization. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support various tasks effectively. This role is only open to remote candidates in Arizona and Neveda Key Responsibilities: + Process incoming requests for medical records from patients, providers, attorneys, insurance companies, and other authorized parties. + Review requests for completeness and accuracy, ensuring valid authorization forms are on file. + Retrieve, review, and release appropriate portions of medical records in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies. + Use electronic health record (EHR) systems to locate and compile patient documentation. + Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all ROI requests and transactions. + Communicate with requesters regarding the status of requests, missing documentation, or fees, as needed. + Monitor and meet required turnaround times and service-level agreements. + Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard patient information at all times. + Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve discrepancies or locate necessary information. + Requirements Qualifications: + High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant coursework in Health Information Management preferred. + 1+ year of experience in medical records, health information management, or ROI processing. + Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology. + Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and document imaging software. + Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. + Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
