Job Description
The Release Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing software releases. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and technical skills.
Responsibilities:
Release Planning:Develop and maintain the release calendar.Work with stakeholders to define release scope and objectives.Identify and manage release risks and dependencies.Release Coordination:Coordinate release activities across multiple teams.Ensure that all release requirements are met.Track release progress and communicate status to stakeholders.Release Execution:Manage the release process, including build, testing, and deployment.Ensure that releases are deployed smoothly and without disruption to production environments.Troubleshoot release issues and provide timely resolution.Post-Release Activities:Conduct post-release reviews to identify areas for improvement.Document release processes and procedures.Maintain release documentation and artifacts.Automation & Improvement:Identify opportunities to automate and improve the release process.Implement best practices for release management.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.Proven experience as a Release Manager or similar role.Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management principles.Experience with release automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Travel requirements:
