Release and Deployment Coordinators

We currently have an opportunity for Release and Deployment Coordinators. Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future. 

What You’ll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

Manage the day-to-day execution of the Release and Deployment Management (RDM) process, ensuring releases are valid, complete, and accurately submitted. Coordinate multinational release and deployment activities, including scheduling, escalation management, and engagement between nations. Ensure adherence to governance standards by producing compliance reports and participating in post-implementation reviews (PIR). Maintain the integrity of release packages throughout transition, including planning early life support and back-out strategies. Collaborate with change management and transition planning teams to schedule and track release packages, ensuring smooth deployment and testing.

What You’ll Bring

ExperieStrong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels. Experience in managing release and deployment processes, including planning, testing, cutover rehearsals, and production deployments. Commercial IT experience, preferably in program-level or mission-critical environments. ITIL V3 or V4 Foundation certification is required; additional ITIL certifications (Release Control, Managing Professional) are highly desirable. You must have and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
