What is the opportunity?
As a Relationship Manager within Treasury Solutions, your primary responsibility is to manage and grow revenue from a portfolio of Corporate Client Group (CCG) clients, focusing on Treasury and Cash Management solutions. This involves supporting clients with their daily transactions and serving as a gateway to introduce them to other RBC products and services.
In addition to portfolio management, you will work closely with the Regional Director on account planning and risk management initiatives. These efforts aim to strengthen client relationships, enhance loyalty, and foster innovation with large, strategic clients within the International Banking group segment. Your role is pivotal in driving value for both the clients and RBC through tailored solutions and collaborative engagement.
What will you do?
Relationship Management & Revenue GrowthBuild and manage relationships within RBC's International Banking group, focusing on revenue growth by addressing client needs, enhancing loyalty, and identifying opportunities for additional Transaction Banking solutions.Develop and execute portfolio and individual client growth plans in collaboration with the Regional Director.Client Engagement & Sales StrategyClearly articulate RBC's Cash Management value proposition during client interactions by developing targeted sales strategies, defined agendas, and pre-call plans.Leverage the Challenger Sales model to drive impactful client discussions and deliver tailored solutions.Implement client calling strategies and opportunity-tiering activities to ensure an exceptional client experience, retain accounts, and grow Cash Management, Deposit, and RBC revenue.Client Onboarding & ExperienceAct as the single point of contact throughout the cash management onboarding process, partnering with the relationship team and ensuring follow-up with clients to deliver an exceptional experience.Collaboration & TeamworkCollaborate with the stakeholders across Coverage bankers, Product teams, Client Management etc. on successfully closing new opportunities that address client needs or mitigate competitive threats.Partner with Coverage Bankers to create a coordinated client contact strategy and conduct annual relationship reviews to identify and address future client needs.Operational & Risk ManagementSupport operational and transactional risk management by working closely with Corporate Client Group (CCG) partners, Business Risk, and Client Service teams, including with CBAs during account documentation.Client Insights & AdvisoryProvide tailored advice and insights on emerging issues impacting clients' businesses.Deliver financial and business advice through a differentiated value proposition by presenting solutions that clearly articulate benefits, guiding clients through alternatives, and helping implement proposed solutions.Cross-Selling & ReferralsIdentify opportunities to refer clients to RBC partners to address broader advice needs and enhance the overall client relationship.Leadership & Growth MindsetLead with a growth mindset, focusing on maximizing client acquisition, growth, and satisfaction.Ensure alignment with RBC’s strategic goals by fostering innovation and delivering exceptional client experiences.What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
5+ years banking and sales experience with a strong knowledge of the Cash Management Products and emerging industry trendsProven client advice/service, sales and relationship management experienceAbility to match client needs with product/structure solutions; implement developed strategies and manage projects to schedule; and prioritize in managing multiple and sometimes conflicting time demandsStrong written and verbal communication skills, including exacting attention to detail related to customized contract documentationOrganizational awareness with a commitment to continuous learning to ensure personal and sales’ team skills/knowledge/accreditations are up-to-dateNice to have:
